The Sterling Trio Presents: The Edge of Oblivion
The Sterling Trio’s inaugural program is centered around the late Dominick Argento’s stunning song cycle To Be Sung Upon the Water. Keeping with their mission of presenting new music and lifting up the voices of emerging composers the trio will be premiering a work by their pianist, Jason Mulligan, as well as a newly commissioned work Ophelia Floats by Austin, TX based composer Steven Serpa. KC VITAs presents a recital of contemporary art song live-streamed from All Souls Unitarian Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Chicago-based Thompson Street Opera will premiere my new opera these wings are meant to fly as part of their annual event "Faulty Systems." These are multi-disciplinary events that bring together artists and activists from around Chicago, organized around a particular social justice theme.
